Course Description

This Advanced level ICD 705 Course has been designed for a unique niche of experienced individuals who may find they are left with more questions than answers on how to achieve performance in seeking compliance with the “gray areas” of ICD 705 interpretation. The ultimate goal is being on the same page with the Accrediting Official (AO) in both interpretation of adequate countermeasures and solutions for technical issues leading to accreditation. Our experts created this course to help address this current need in our community. This course will primarily address the requirements of ICD 705 series documents (ICD 705, ICS 705-1, ICS 705-2, and the ICD 705 Technical Specifications) but will also touch on other documents that may have bearing on accreditation, such as those related to TEMPEST. The course will include plenty of Q&A sessions for students to ask specific questions. Please note that all participants must be US citizens. All participants who complete the course will earn a certificate. The certificate may be submitted for continuing education units (CEU), subject to approval by participant's credentialing organization or certifying body. WHO SHOULD ATTEND Anyone involved in ICD 705 or SCIF/SAPF design, construction, security, facilities, engineering or program management will find benefit in taking this training course. AGENDA FOR THE THREE-DAY TRAINING Day 1 - The instructor(s) will provide a basic review of ICD 705 policy, to establish a common framework for class discussions. Specific topics or areas of controversy will be further discussed in depth, followed by practical team exercises to allow students to apply what they have learned. Day 2 - Students will continue focused topic exercises, exploring additional gray areas in ICD 705 compliance. The instructor(s) will also lead a focused TEMPEST discussion, with exercises on TEMPEST/RF shielding applications. Day 3 - Students will complete a final exercise bringing all of the topics discussed throughout the time together into one scenario. Upon completion and review of the final exercise, the instructor(s) will confer certificates. REQUIREMENTS To enroll, participants must be U.S. citizens and provide a business or company-issued email address and company name.
